Slider in Chrome, Safari and Opera + fixed background position

This is one of the unsolved mysteries of the internet, that the translate3d css property makes the fixed background positions (sometimes called parallax) not to work. You can check this to test it. It has been around for quite a while now, but the developers of these webkit based browsers still didn’t managed to fix this issue, so the only fix is to remove the translate3d. This css code was given to make the slider run smoother, but it does without it too, so you can safely remove it from this file:

Joomla \libraries\nextend\assets\smartslider\js\mainslider.js

WordPress \wp-content\plugins\nextend-smart-slider2-full\library\smartslider\assets\js\mainslider.js

The code you should look for is this:

if (this.options.translate3d && nModernizr && nModernizr.csstransforms3d) {
 this.$slider.css(nModernizr.prefixed('transform'), 'translate3d(0,0,0)');
 this.$slider.css(nModernizr.prefixed('perspective'), '1000');
}

Just comment it out:

/*if (this.options.translate3d && nModernizr && nModernizr.csstransforms3d) {
 this.$slider.css(nModernizr.prefixed('transform'), 'translate3d(0,0,0)');
 this.$slider.css(nModernizr.prefixed('perspective'), '1000');
}*/

Then go to the Smart Slider’s SettingsCache, and click on Refresh Cache.
